CANCUN FAMILY VACATION

In the last two decades Cancún has grown from a tiny jungle village
into one of the world's best-known holiday resorts. Vast sums have
been invested into landscaping and infrastructure resulting in
well-paved roads, drinkable tap water and a beautiful vacation spot
where travelers can feel at ease. In Cancun English is spoken,
dollars are accepted and malls are the mode for shopping and
dining.
CANCUN VACATIONS
With its warm white sandy beaches and crystal indigo water,
Cancun is Mexico's most visited tourist destination. Almost three
million people visit this beach resort annually. Its greatest asset is
its natural marine playground sparkling with warm sun for more
than 200 days of the year. Cancun has been carefully groomed into
one of the most polished resorts anywhere. Cancún offers
something for everyone including tours of the mysterious Mayan
civilization and other archeological sites dating back thousands of
years.
Location of Cancun
Cancun is situated in the young State of Quintana Roo on the east
coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, one hour by air from Miami, two
hours from Mexico City and close to major Mayan ruins.
Size of Cancun
The resident mark is considered as 400,000 inhabitants and it is
Mexico's most modern and luxurious Caribbean resort, with
attractive beaches, fine hotels and excellent weather.
Climate in Cancun
It's hot but not overwhelmingly humid. The rainy season is May
through October. August through October is the hurricane season.
November through February can be cloudy, windy, rainy, and even
cool.
High season is December 15 to Easter; low season is May through
November, when prices are reduced 10% to 30%. Some hotels are
starting to charge high-season rates between July and September
when travel is high for Mexican national, European, and
school-holiday visitors.
Things to Do in Cancun
Jungle tours, horseback riding, golf, tennis, snorkeling and diving in
Cozumel, modern ecological theme parks, malls with good prices,
more than 350 restaurants and excellent hotels ranging from four
and five star to Grand Tourism. For those who are interested in
Mexican culture, be sure to take a day trip to visit the exceptional
Maya sites.
Transportation in Cancun
Cancun is too spread out for walking so visitors to the island will
want to ride buses or taxis. Cars, mopeds and bicycles are
available for rent. The fares are reasonable and the cabs are readily
available. Ferries make the short trip to Isla Mujeres several times a
day. Intercity buses connect Cancun with other points on the
Yucatan Peninsula, including all of the major Maya sites.
