RADISSON'S CLUB MARINER PROGRAM
by Paula Hughes Court
While Radisson Seven Seas Cruises caters primarily to adult travelers,
cruises are growing in popularity for multi-generational family
vacations. This year, the Club Mariner children’s program will be
offered on more voyages than ever before. Summer itineraries on the
Seven Seas Voyager in the Baltic, Seven Seas Mariner in Alaska and
Seven Seas Navigator in Bermuda will cater to youngsters ages six to
17. Caribbean holiday sailings (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New
Years) on the three ships and the Radisson Diamond will also offer
Club Mariner programs.
The lively program of age-graded events is divided in two tiers: for
children ages six to 11 and 12 to 17. “Club Mariner” is designed to
bring youngsters together with their peers, while parents and
grandparents pursue grown-up interests aboard the ultra-luxurious
ship. Club activities are age-appropriate and are supervised by young,
enthusiastic and responsible counselors. In “Club Mariner,” kids can
participate in interactive adventures both onboard and ashore that
focus on the destination's wide-ranging wildlife and varied typography,
indigenous crafts and rich artistic heritage. Children can learn about
flora, fauna, as well as draw, photograph and write about their
adventures in their special cruise scrapbook. “Club Mariner” tours are
offered, and a children’s menu is also available in the Compass Rose
dining room.
In addition, the line is starting a new children's program on the Paul
Gauguin this summer.
