Vietnam now open to all travellers – no vaccination or tests required
No Vaccination, Tests or Quarantine Required to Visit Vietnam
If you’ve been following Khiri’s regular COVID updates you’ll know that all of our destinations are now, to some degree, reopen for tourism. But only one country has rolled things back to 2019 and ditched all their COVID-related entry requirements – Vietnam!
According to UNWTO’s Tourism Recovery Tracker, of 52 countries worldwide to have fully reopened, only four are in the APAC region, and of those, only one – Vietnam – is in Southeast Asia.
Visitors to Vietnam don’t need to show any vaccination papers or test results, and the country has reinstated its visa waiver for 24 countries, making it the easiest country to visit in the region.
As we posted yesterday, Vietnam ranks second worldwide for its recovery from the pandemic, and this is reflected in travel optimism indicators – according to a recent booking.com survey, Vietnamese travellers are the second most optimistic in APAC. This has had a positive effect on domestic tourism too – Vietnam’s domestic aviation market is the fastest growing in the world, up 123% against pre-COVID times according to IATA.
